Dear GLOBE Educators,

The following message is being sent to you on behalf of the 2012 GLOBE at Night Campaign.

More stars. Less light. Last Chance to Participate in GLOBE at Night!

This is your last chance in 2012 to take a few minutes to get involved in the GLOBE at Night campaign to preserve dark skies! GLOBE at Night is a citizen-science campaign open to people all over the world to raise awareness of the impact of light pollution by inviting citizen-scientists to measure their night sky brightness and report their observations to a website from a computer or a smart phone. Light pollution threatens not only our ability to see the night sky, but it also affects energy consumption, natural wildlife and health.

Observers in 115 countries have contributed over 75,000 measurements, making GLOBE at Night the most successful light pollution awareness campaign to date. Please join us to participate in the 2012 campaign starting your local time, an hour after sunset till about 10 PM each night, from 11 April through 20 April, 2012.
